Sign in and activate desktop access

Use this guide when the desktop app opens but does not yet recognize your account access.

Use the same account email

Desktop access is tied to the account used for checkout, trial, or support-granted access. Signing in with a different email can make an active account look inactive.

  1. 1 Open the web account and confirm the signed-in email.
  2. 2 Open the desktop app and sign out if a different email is shown.
  3. 3 Sign in again with the account email used for the trial or subscription.
  4. 4 Restart the desktop app if access changed recently.

Check account state

If desktop access still does not appear, the account may not have an active trial, active subscription, or eligible support grant.

  1. 1 Check the billing or subscription screen in the web app.
  2. 2 Confirm the trial or subscription was created with the same email.
  3. 3 Contact support with the account email and any checkout/session reference you have.
