Cloud backups are encrypted before upload. Proof Me Hard cannot read or recover a backup without the correct vault password.

  1. 1 Confirm you are signed in with the account that created the backup.
  2. 2 Confirm the subscription or account access is active.
  3. 3 Confirm you know the vault password used for the backup.
  4. 4 Retry on a stable internet connection.

Let restore finish

  1. 1 Keep the desktop app open during restore.
  2. 2 Avoid sleep mode if the backup is large.
  3. 3 Check local disk space before retrying.
  4. 4 Contact support with the restore error if it fails again.
