Understand the permission boundary
macOS protects local user data. Proof Me Hard can read local Mac Messages data only when the current user authorizes the required access.
- 1 Confirm you are signed in to the Mac user account that owns the Messages data.
- 2 Grant file or folder access when macOS prompts.
- 3 Open System Settings and review privacy permissions if access was denied.
- 4 Restart Proof Me Hard after changing permissions.
Avoid changing source files
- 1 Do not move or rename Messages database files manually.
- 2 Do not grant access to data you are not authorized to review.
- 3 Contact support with the macOS version and exact permission message if access still fails.
What to send support if this is still unresolved
- macOS version
- Mac user account context
- Exact permission prompt or error
- App version
Contact support when the steps above do not resolve the issue.
