Prepare the export
Official export packages vary by provider. Some exports split messages, media, contacts, and metadata across folders or multiple archives.
- 1 Download the complete export from the provider account.
- 2 Keep all export parts together if the provider gives multiple archives.
- 3 Unzip the export before import when the provider delivers a compressed archive.
- 4 Do not delete folders that look unrelated until import has completed.
Understand format drift
Providers can change export schemas, field names, folder names, media references, and timestamp formats at any time. Proof Me Hard works to stay current, but a provider change can temporarily break parsing for a supported export path.
- 1 Install the latest Proof Me Hard desktop build.
- 2 Retry with a fresh export if the provider recently changed its export tool.
- 3 Contact support with the provider name, export date, export language/locale if known, and exact error.
